Description of the increase in allegations of family violence in Encarnación, between 2000 and 2012

The present work is presented with the purpose of knowing the quantitative characteristics of the complaints received in the Public Ministry of the city of Encarnación, for punishable acts of Family Violence between the years 2000 to 2012, there are 1408 criminal cases of Family Violence in these twelve years, for example, in order to visualize the degree of increase, I mention that in 2000 a total of 10 complaints have been filed; In 2006, 84 complaints; In 2010, 131; While the year 2012 increased to 176 criminal charges for punishable acts of domestic violence. That is to say, in twelve years has gone from 10 denunciations to 176 denunciations. When analyzing the data that are detailed in the previous paragraph, the recidivism becomes visible, we highlight 26 people recidivists in this period2000 to 2012 - all of whom are male, four of them were reported on three occasions by the Same victim. The remaining of 22 perpetrators were denounced on two occasions. After these data, the commitment of the Public Ministry is greater in the fight against domestic violence, to evolve as the law evolves. In this sense, this Regional Office of Encarnación committed to guarantee equality in access to justice and to ensure compliance with the criteria of institutional policy.
