Child pornography on the internet
Keywords:
child pornography, internet, IP address, appropriate legislation, victim, offenderAbstract
Child pornography has taken exponential dimensions in the last decade, due to the speed with any type of data is disseminated in Internet networks, a situation that reveals the need to have appropriate legislation in line with techno logical advances. Generally, the anonymity behind which the authors hide is relative, therefore, it is possible to individualize them through the IP address, which is considered a determining test. If the Internet service providers would establish storage for registry of data traffic, a number of transnational punishable offenses, such as child pornography, would be successfully dealt with. In that sense, the system designed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, NC MEC, greatly contributed to the Paraguayan Justice for the detection and sanction of the authors of this criminal type, with the help of the program developed by Microsoft called PhotoDNA, the images are classified and reported. Without this cooperation, there would be no way to identify these facts. NCMEC in its reports informs, all the data that the author has established in his account through the IP used address, so it is elementary to have this allocation to avoid obstacles in the investigation. This phenomenon has evolved and occurs almost exclusively on the web, for that reason the importance of this control is highlighted, as it is the main source of information. The IP is the most direct probative element that relates the author to the fact.
