The General Budget of the Nation assigned to the judicial system

The General Budget of the Nation has its normative foundation in the National Constitution and ot her national laws. It is made from the National Development Plan, in view of objectives and goals outlined at national level for each period. Due to its demographic characteristics, and the demographic bonus, Paraguay will have an increasing budget in the next years, at least until the demographic boom ceases. Taking into account this characteristic, this article analyses the budget invested in the judicial system, and it covers the Supreme Court of Justice, the Public Ministry, the National Public Defenders Office and the Superior Court of Electoral Justice. For the purposes of this research and data’s traceability, the source of this study was the official information provided by the Ministry of Economy, entity responsible mainly for budgetary management. This Ministry also created a digital application to adapt the institution to the required technology for digital government, a fundamental tool for governmental transparency.Downloads
