Abstract

The present investigation covers the domestic violence cases reported at the Public Ministry in the department of Alto Paraná, which are progressively increasing. In this sense, this paper aims to identify the cases that, according to information provided by the Public Ministry correspond from january to june 2020, that registers 1574 cases in the mentioned department, that points the level of progress of this type of violence with a very high population. The applied methodology to leave a record of the nearly pandemic situation is the quantitative approach of descriptive level. The samples were the complaint files of the Unit number 2 of the Specialized Division against Domestic Violence of the Public Ministry in Ciudad del Este. The applied technique was the interpretation of documents, which proves the increase of cases. This enables to establish numerically the evaluated population after considering the variables such as: cases in the specialized division, cases nationwide, number of cases before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, indicating if there has been an increase of psychological or physical violence within the period of study.
