Keywords:
prevention, human trafficking, migration, labor exploitationAbstract
This research was conducted within the framework of the technical assistance for case analysis, characterization and systematization of response in the context of victimization for international trafficking of children and adolescents from Alto Paraná, Caaguazú, Canindeyú, Guairá, Itapúa and San Pedro. The mentioned assistance was a contribution to determine analytical tools in the Public Ministry, which contribute to the overall fight against human trafficking in Paraguay. The research showed that a criminal investigation can add sufficient additional information to the criminal prosecution, which enhances the development and monitoring of public policies for prevention, and fight against human trafficking, and in support for the victims. This confirms the hypothesis that prosecutor’s investigation counts with relevant information for decision making based on evidence for public policy related to this problem, what will contribute to the design and implementation of public policies for prevention and fight against human trafficking, and in support of victims of this type of crime and other related offenses.
