The Romans referred to the lex artis as the "most exquisite of the arts" because improvement was not obtained immediately, but through the optimization of techniques with daily training and the incorporation of new techniques. In court, it is common to speak of lex artis ad hoc when referring to medicine, for which there are various techniques to deal with the various cases raised and all of them can be valid, although it is up to the physician to determine which one is applicable to the case. concrete, according to the knowledge he possesses of science. With the establishment of action protocols for medical procedures, a series of guidelines have been established, all of them aimed at diagnosis and treatment, which are useful, practical and correct in medical action and serve as a parameter to establish eventual responsibilities or negligence in the practice of medicine. Article 4 of the National Constitution guarantees the protection of life and establishes that every person will be protected by the State in their physical and mental integrity, as well as in their honor and reputation.
