Abstract

The objective of this work is to know the common practices regarding the use of the Guaraní language in criminal proceedings managed by the prosecutors of the Public Ministry and from it, to analyze the need to incorporate the teaching of Guaraní as part of the permanent program of in-service training of the Training Center, taking into account the forthcoming implementation of the Language Law No. 4251/11. The study is exploratory - descriptive. The specific population on which the sample was worked, probalist and stratified, constitute the professionals who are directly involved in the management of a criminal process, that is, the fiscal agents, the fiscal assistants, the fiscal secretaries and the fiscal assistants of Asunción and Central. The results of the study allow us to know the characteristics of the population studied in terms of educational level, position held, age, experience and area (rural or urban) in which it performs functions, as well as daily practices regarding the use of the Guaraní language. in criminal proceedings managed by tax agents; the level of knowledge and application of the legal provisions of the Paraguayan Criminal Procedure Code, in relation to linguistic rights. As well as, the expectations regarding the teaching of the Guarani language in the in-service training program of the Training Center of the Public Ministry
